I'm about to swithc from finasteride to dutasteride, however i want to make sure the dutasteride is kicking in before i stop propecia, so I'm going to take them both for two weeks and then drop the propecia. do you think i will have any real health concerns with this? what is so bad about combining the two?

You shouldn't experience any problems combining the two, but it would be a bit of a waste, as dutasteride is a more efficient DHT blocker, blocking both types of 5-AR. You'd be flogging a dead horse by including the finasteride, as the dutasteride should kick in immediately.
