I've been applying minoxidil 5% mixed with spironolactone and taking Finasteride
for almost 2years. 5mg divided into 1/8th's
I'd say, at best, this has slowed down the hair loss. Though I'm sure
it hasn't grown any new hair for me. I've noticed it's really started
to go at the temples. A few months after starting this treatment, my
temple areas grew *very* short white fuzzy hair; though it has never
developed into proper hair.
I've read about some using Avodart/Dusteride; though on to this linked

It states "Dutasteride is chemically similar to Finasteride, the
active compound in Propecia".
So, I was wondering is there any point in switching from Finasteride
to Dutasteride, or is it essentially the same thing?
Is there anything else I should be taking/applying?
