Suggestion for Scalp Staining from Revivogen?

Hi everybody,

This is my first message in this site, so I wanted to make a small introduction. I'm almost 20, and I have an 2-2.5 norwood hairloss. This site helped me a lot to decide what to do with it, so I want to thank you all. I hope I'll find some time to post detailed version of my story in the following weeks, since I can't find much time because of school nowadays. Now let's move to my problem.

From everything I read, I decided to use Revivogen and Rogaine, however in order to give some time to my scalp to tolerate it I wanted to start with Revivogen. So, a week ago I started applying it. However, like many other, currently I have a problem of scalp staining. Although I wash my hair every morning, I can still realize the orange-reddish areas from the application of revivogen. Now I'm looking for ways to get rid of it.

In another forum (I'm not registered there, just saw) it was written that using baby oil or mineral oil could be helpful. But I'm not sure whether this would be helpful or not. I'm not even sure that it won't damage my hair. (For info, the link is: http://www.regrowth.com/hairloss-forums ... =5&t=13749 )

So, I have to suggest your ideas. What do you think about the ways of getting rid of this? Is there anyone that has experienced the same problem and solved it in some way?

Thanks a lot.

Strange, even with my shaved head, one wash in the morning and there is no trace of revivogen. Not that I use it anymore anyway.

Yeah, unfortunately this is not my case. Even I spread Revivogen quite carefully and wait a few minutes to wash out the shampoo in the mornings, still there are stains.

By the way, I tried this baby oil to clean the scalp once, and it didn't help even a little.

It doesn't make much sense to me, why would it leave nothing at one's scalp but stain mine?

Anyway, if I cannot get rid of it, in the end I will have to switch to something else.

Rogaine and Revivogen might not be good combo, i'm still newbie but i just read this on Dr.Lee page.

"Zinc, however, forms insoluble salts when it reacts with minoxidil/azelaic acid, rendering the active ingredients ineffective."

Revivogen have some zinc in it so i guess can make minoxidil inactive. More knowlageable users
correct me if i'm wrong. I other side Revivogen might work but i guess only small precentage of users will respond on this if we compare with rogaine.

HI,
I had your same problem when I started revivogen. I started then to massage my scalp with my fingertips while I was shampooning my hair and the thing was solved... I was able to see that the flowed water was more orange than before.... you should wash your scalp very carrefully...it boosts blood circulation too.

Another thing: massage the scalp therapy of rev. very carrefully when applying it...it absorbs much better! And I suggest you not to use only revivogen`s shampoo if you wash your hair daily...use a shampoo for frequently use that is ph neutro!

I had the same problem when I was using Revivogen and what I did was grab a cotton ball and pour a little baby oil over it. Then I rubbed into my scalp and it picked off all of the Revivogen stain. This will only work if you have a buzz cut though...
