Stopping Finasteride - I Need Advice

Hi all,

I'm 25, about NW2 and have been taking finasteride for approx 1.5 years. And I think i'm going to stop taking it. There has been 0 regrowth since taking it. I suppose it's possible that the drug has stopped further hair loss from happening but i'm also thinking that its possible there would have been 0 hairloss anyway. I'm experiencing a few side effects which is making me want to stop taking it (Brain fog, weak erection, occasionaly pain in testicles, and generally just feel abit 'off' and not myself.. its hard to describe).

If i was to stop taking it, should i slowly lower my dose to 0? Or just quit all together? Also if the drug has prevented further hairloss, how quickly could that hair fall out after i stop taking it? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Why not go topical? So many new studies coming out on how beneficial it its with less chance of systemic sides. You have invested all this time and probably are just maintaining or at least offsetting your final Norwood until later in life. If I were in your shoes, I would look into getting my hands on some liposomal gel finasteride mixed with minoxidil. I am actually consider doing that too. However, I don't know how I can get my hands on that in my area or at least from an online doctor.
