Since I am only 22 and I basically have a full head of hair, can I quit the minoxidil and save it for later? I am trying to plan for 10 years down the road am kind of worried about the minoxidil losing its effectiveness, I have read about people suggesting taking breaks from minoxidil and then starting up again, but has anyone done this with success for a long amount of time?

I have been on my current regimen for 4 months, nothing noticeable yet. I would be very happy to just keep my current hair so regrowth is not really a concern. What do you guys think?

Go O's!!

if you had good results from minoxidil i suggest you dont quit it and use once a day to maintain that good goal but if you really didnt noticed anything you can quit and save it for later or start on finasteride thats what you want to do since you want to keep what you have.. ....

I think you are using good judgement. At your age, with an acceptable amount of hair, I think that you probably don't need the minoxidil yet.
