Hi, I'm 53 and have been losing my hair for about a year now. I have had blood tests to rule out thyroid, etc. I have seen a dermatologist who told me it was because of the major surgery I had. Problem is, the shedding started 9 months later (one year ago now) and although I think it has slowed down, I have lost a lot. I figure it's Androgenetic Alopecia except that one side of my head is extremely thin, as well as the top front, which from all that I've read, does not follow the pattern of female pattern baldness. I started minoxidil 2 weeks ago but am not sure if I'm applying it correctly. I use the 2% with the roll on attachment. What I don't understand, is the dose is 1ml. That just covers all my bald spots once. Is the dosage of 1ml because that is all the scalp should be absorbing in one treatment? Or should each bald spot get 1ml? I know this is confusing, I'm confused myself. Any advice on HOW exactly to use minoxidil would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
