Hello long term users. I've just past the 2 year mark and have had the worst shed and hair loss since I've been on finasteride. About three months ago, I lowered the dosage to .5 mg daily to attempt to get rid of sides I was experiencing. I'm wondering if the reduced dosage could be causing this much loss and shedding. It's very aggressive and my hair looks as bad as it has since before starting 2 years ago.
I went back to 1 mg daily yesterday and hopefully this will slow things down. My head feels like it did pre-finasteride and itching. Can finasteride lose it's effectiveness? and if so what's next?
