Shedding and head itching

Hi everyone. I've been pretty happy with my regimin which was finasteride 1mg, nizoral shampoo and rogaine 5% bid, about 3 months ago i switched from finasteride to dutasteride. Anyways my hair was looking pretty good but i'm going through a shedding period at the moment, The only thing i find a little odd is my head is itching quite a bit. Before i started treating my hair loss my head would itch like crazy, then when i started the itching went away completely. As far as i can remember this is the first time it has come back. I'm hoping the itching isn't a sign of my immune system going after my hair follicles again. You guys mind sharing your experiences/thoughts about this?

I had bad itching and dandruff since I was about 13 years old. Since starting my treatment it's gotten a lot better. Right after I started taking finestride my itch went away and my hair looked great for like six months, then about 3.5 months ago (about 6-7 months into treatment) I had a real bad dandruff outbreak but it only lasted about two weeks, but I continued to shed until about a week ago even though my scalp felt healthy. Right now my scalp feels really good but I lost so much ground over this shed it's a bit discouraging. I'm hoping I get one of these elusive re-growth phases I read so much about. We'll see.
