Can this hyped up substance have a somewhat standalone affect?

Veterans? Scientists? Whats your opinion on Revita.. Is it just another shampoo or is "the" shampoo?

Mate - no one is going to be able to answer this question - they're only going to be able to give their opinions.

The only way to get a conclusive answer would be for DS Labs to conduct a properly controlled clinical study, or if they already have, provide us with the results.

A lot of the ingredients in Revita have been shown to have some effect (usually in vitro) on hair growth, however, I have no idea as to how they interact with each other, the extent to which they will be absorbed / how effective they will be in a shampoo and generally whether they will cause regrowth. Ketaconazole we know has some benefits at 2% in shampoo, however, whether such benefits will be obtained when Ketaconazole is mixed with the other ingredients in Revita is less clear.

All I can say conclusively is that using the shampoo is probably better than using regular shampoo but I wouldn't set your hopes too high.

I plan to use Revita at some point down the track.

Def I agree with you when you are saying that we dont know if Ketoconazoles's benefits will be obtained when it is mixed with other ingredients. Thats why I will not replace my Ketoconazole 2% Sampoo.
I prefer to add Alpecin Sampoo (which has Caffeine like Revita) and MSM Sampoo (which has MSM like Revita) rather than to use Revita.

Def, you use a compination of Jason's Thin to Thick and Nizoral. Whats your opinion about Jasons. Is this a good thickening Sampoo?

cheers

Hi HR

I really like the Jason TTT products. The shampoo has a really good thickening effect (on me) - the conditioner less so, but it does have a nice menthol feel to it. At one time I was using the Jason TTT products every day, but I didn't see any lasting benefit so moved on from them to the MIN range of shampoos and conditioner which I really like. Once my MIN shampoos run out, however, I will likely move to Revita.

The reason I still use the Jason TTT shampoo with Nizoral is that the Jason TTT shampoo contains alpha and beta hydroxy acids - beta hydroxy acid is salicylic acid which can also be found in shampoos like Neutrogena T-Sal. Anyhow, there are apparently some studies which show that use of shampoos containing salicylic acid prior to Nizoral will increase Nizoral absorption - hence, that is why I still use the Jason TTT.

Overall - good shampoo and conditioner but they won't do much for your hair other than provide it with a brief cosmetic thickening.

Def, that's interesting what you said about the acids in thin to thick. I was a bit concerned about using it before revita because I thought it might coat the scalp/hair with whatever agents it uses to thicken and it might hinder absorption. But you think that the opposite is the case?
