Propecia.... weight gain or gyno???

I have been taking propecia now for 1 month and seem to have put a lot of weight on around my chest and belly, does prpecia make u put on weight or is it effects of gyno??? ive been going to the gym more than ever lately and always watch what i eat, is there a way u can test if it is gyno cause if it is i need to stop this drug!!! i dont want man tits! if it is gyno will stopping the drug reverse the side effects??? Also if i was to stick it out and continue at the gym would this "extra-fat"" dissapear???? Thanx guys...

If you are unsure what's happened have your GP do blood work for hormone levels. Estrogen TSH Testosterone etc.

Make sure you let him know that you're taking Finasteride.

But seriously, if you haven't changed your lifestyle at all you can make sure your hormones are all out wack with a blood test. Most likely, you just need to get some fat-burning type exercise.

i stopped taking propecia for those very same reasons. I work out regularly, and gained weight anyway + gyno & acne.

took propecia for a little more than 12 months. It stopped my hairloss, but nothing grew back. Get it checked, just to be safe. most guys respond well to propecia, some though, like myself, just don't. :cry:

i've accepted the fact i will slowly bald...but i look good w/a bald head, so i'm not too concerned anymore

Well, most people seem to want the hair they had when they were twelve back, and they want it yesterday.

Expectations need to be kept realistic.

I am about a norwood III, but I have a surfer haircut with straigh hair and I have been able to conceal my hairloss. If I could stay where I am right now I would be loving life.
