This article tops everything and just like me and FredTheBelgian have been saying that humiliation of baldness in men is not only tolerated but encouraged. Thanks to women like Jessica Machadao (the writer), the gutter class of society that we've been thrown into is not going to change... treatments, shaving, not shaving, acceptance, hair transplants, wigs, etc.. anything and everything we do about baldness will be ridiculed regardless. I really do hope someone laser removes all the follicles on her head into a norwood 6 pattern. I'd love to see her write another article like that after.

http://nymag.com/thecut/2014/12/i-love-watching-men-worry-about-balding.html

The comments in the article are incredibly disgusting too, particularly from a user by the name of LL85... enraging, really.

She's an idiot. All her so called appearance problems in her twenties are all easily fixable without the risk of serious side effects. She obviously hasn't lost a follicle in her life.

She would easily realize that losing a lot of hair within a span of 2-5 years is easily more mortifying than getting wrinkles slowly over several decades which is normal for both sexes!

She has no idea.

No such thing as karma. This shrew will go through life without ever getting the karma she deserves. A LOT of people don't get their due karma, in fact, those that deserved the highest praise usually got shot for it; JFK, Gandhi, MLK, etc. all assassinated. George Bush? Elected and Re-elected. She'll get away with it... she'll get away with everything, as will many others... and while these people are off the hook, they are the same ones that are responsible for having us be bottomfeeders of society as bald men. No point in being vocal about it either, because ultimately, nobody gives a sh!t either.

People like this Jessica Machado woman dont just want us to be bald, but would rather have us STAY bald. Otherwise, it'd jeopardize their place on that pedestal.

I dont get it why you get so worked out over nothin. Especially when you have this subjective text, from a women, in her mid 30s chrisis.

But she got few thing right:

“In my dad’s time, a dad just had to look like a dad, or a boss just had to look like a boss — and a bald, fat boss was the stereotypical norm,” one friend told me. But for the generation suddenly thrust into manscaping, metrosexuality, and Marky Mark’s Calvin Klein ads after a decade of no-questions-asked ’80s machismo, new standards apply. Studies suggest that men today are more stressed out about balding, beer bellies, and flabby pecs than their predecessors.

And by the end of the article, its clear this is just her way to cope with frustration.

here are enough situations in my life where men have leverage over me — at work, in legislating what I can do with my reproductive organs, in any instance where size and physical intimidation matter — and if I can get a leg up in the confidence department, I’ll take it. Because I wouldn’t be surprised if, by tomorrow, all my thinning-man peers will have figured out that they can just shave their heads and return to their lives of bone-able, uninterrupted dominance.

The problem with women in general is that their view of relevant men is restricted to the top 10-20% of the men; the rest 80% are invisible.
This makes her article understandable -- these top 10% of men probably *were* faring better than her, and could bag women whenever they wanted. In her mind, this is the norm, the rest of the men do not exist.

In this context, it is understandable that she takes pleasure in the downfall of the men that she used to covet.

The following quote says it all:
all my thinning-man peers will have figured out that they can just shave their heads and return to their lives of bone-able, uninterrupted dominance.
The men under consideration had lives of "bone-able, uninterrupted dominance" aka the top 10%.

Is she living in a fairy world, all men put under immense amount of pressure to not only successful but also aesthetically pleasing to the opposite sex. Women can simply have a pulse and can choose whatever man they want. Us guys have to be tall, physically fit and be manliest guys out there. Nowadays all I see is fat manatees or should I say feminists who scream about " bodyshaming" while weighing of 300 pounds, because they're too ****ing lazy to do exercise or put down the fork. ****ing privileged scum

I mean.. she is irrelevant. Just another unhappy woman hiding behind feminism.

She writes about feminism, sex, love, loss, underdogs, pop nostalgia and occasionally the Kardashians. What this article means that she is ok with bald men but she will never be comfortable around one.She takes her husband coz he is her husband. He feds and treats her well among all her partners she ever had.If their ever will be a cure for male pattern baldness she will make her husband take it and it won't be coz she lover her, its just that she wants her social status to be up and high.If that doesn't happen then she will downplay all bald men/poverty stricken lads/fat people.Just to make herself feel whatever she wants to.
Bitchy slutty feminist douche:midfing:

I've never had an issue getting attention from hot girls even as Norwood 2-3. So I can't relate here. However, I do know that women judge baldness and I will lose some big points if I become a baldy. Of that, there is really no doubt. Even older women in their 40's want a man with hair or a decent amount of it, let alone the 20-30 aged group.

Out on a run today in the park with a girl I am friends with. I actually felt sorry for this bald guy I saw. He was probably mid 30's, was average looking at best to begin with, wearing dated clothes and sporting a prominent horseshoe. I bet no woman would go near him, seemed like he knew that and had accepted it. He actually got nervous around my friend as we went past, she's probably a 7 max.

Balding as a white guy requires you to have other attributes to stand some chance. I think as a black guy it's not a death sentence -my friend is buzzing his thinning hair number 1 all over and he looks good. I know it's not shaved but can't imagine him looking bad, maybe not as good. He looks very masculine in a black kind of way so pulls it off - wide nostrils, big jaw e.t.c.

I'm making less money than you are for the same work.

This must also be called out.
The usual 70% of the wages of men that is sprouted is garbage -- it does not take into account the fact that the hours put in by men are more, than by women, for the working population. There was a research paper on this (written by a woman, all based on hard data). Equalizing for the hours put in, there was still a wage gap, but it had closed to 91-92%. And it still had not accounted for the *type* of work done by men, and by women.

That is true, but I don't think that is a big factor.
The big factor is that women tend to have a criteria for their mates to have a better paying job than they have. Men have no such criteria. As a result, the incentive for men to work harder is much more than for women to work as hard. It should not be surprising to women that, under this incentive structure, men will end up making more money by working harder/more difficult jobs.

Of course, there are men who are bums *cough Exodus cough*, and there are women who work very hard. But we are talking about averages.
