Hey all,
I've been on finasteride for roughly 4 years now, and I've always been relatively pleased with the results. I've found that sometimes my hair will become thinner before it comes back a little fuller, however from these boards I've found this is a common thing known as a synchronized shed.
Now though, I've noticed my hair looking thinner than ever. I don't have a bald spot on the back of my head, but I've always been thin behind my bangs. It's gotten to the point now where sticking my hair straight up looks unbelievably thin. I also take Nizoral, and just ordered my first case of Rogaine Foam.
So, my question is this; Should I make the switch from finasteride to dutasteride now? Or should I wait to see a) If this another synchronized shed or B) if the rogaine will solve my problem regardless.
I haven't experienced any side effects on finasteride or nizoral, so I'm not entirely worried about the potential health ramifications of dutasteride. I just don't want to make the jump if I don't have to
