minoxidil on just a small area.

I have a dime/quarter size area on my left front hairline between the center and front that is real real thin.

Does it make sense to add minoxidil to just this area? Will it affect the surrounding area if im careful?

And what if it does affect the surrounding area?
minoxidil will not cause damage- it just enhances growth.
