I've heard that it increases DHT > increased hair loss, pretty much just like smoking.

So are you saying that smoking cigarettes increases DHT???

I doubt it, but if you have evidence of this please let us know, I will quit cold turkey if I find out that is true...

As for the Mary Jane (Marijuana, for those of you that dont know) I think I rember someone saying they read an article that says when you smoke bud after taking Propecia that it increases side effects/hair loss or something like that.

heres how i see it
Marijuana lowers test levels short term>less test to be converted to dht
Smoking everyday (long term) can go 2 ways imo
1>consistent lowering of testosterone>less converted test to dht>possible decrease in hair loss (also increasing risk of Gyne in men, rare but very possible)
2>tolerance to effects>everyday test levels raised to compensate constant decrease of test after smoking= elevated test levels all around everyday (above what would be normal for the person when not smoking weed consistently)
Everyones body is different, so there is no clear cut way to say its bad for your hair or thats its good.

When I said "Marijuana, for those of you that dont know" I was just saying that Mary Jane = Marijuana. Someone asked earlier in a post what mary jane was...

And as for that little comment I made about raising side effects/hairloss I was just commenting how I heard someone say that either in this forum or another forum... Its not like I said it was a fact, to tell you the truth I dont even believe it myself

I was reading up on studies of Smokers vs Non Smokers. Smokers seem to have 13% more DHT in their blood stream.

sweet!!

when I have a smoke, and look at the hair, it's all over.

i'm hardly balding just yet, a little bit of thinning, but with the stoned eyes - the paranoia sets in and... gulp.

i'm surpised that there isn't a nice easy way of nuking your curent hair, every hair on your head, and having a permanent wig fitted.

that seems like a darn good idea if it were possible.

that way we get bald, we sort it out nice and easy!!. no hair cuts needed every again, no turning grey, I guess a wig is a close option to this, i'm sure they'll come up with something like this in the future that looks really good.
