Did you guys go to a doctor to do any type of "testing" to determine if you have male pattern baldness?
Obviously I'm balding lol, but is this male pattern baldness?
(1) At 25, before any signs of balding, I use have a super itchy scalp, would literally have dandruff the size of $0.25 quarters, and I'd run my hands through my hair a lot since it'd be itchy (bad habit).
(2) After 6 months of this horrible dandruff, I noticed balding and pretty rapid, mostly on my hairline. Went to a derm doctor who didn't do any tests, just looked at my head for a second and said yeah male pattern baldness. And told me just to do Rogaine.
Been on minoxidil and nizoral for a few years now, but noticed a lot of thinning on the front sides (like by your eye), the hairline on the front size isn't receding but obviously I've lost a ton of volume there....I'm not sure if this is even male pattern baldness at this point? There's only one derm doctor in my town, I'm not sure if I should go elsewhere to do tests or if that's a required step.
FYI this is minoxidil liquid, right after I put it on, so it doesn't normally look this bad. Actually, the front sides look normal time most of time (unlike my front hair line and crown, those always look bad lol).
