Itchy and irritation

Hi, I just started Rogaine 2% last week along with Nizoral shampoo. I noticed that my scalp is getting red in some areas with minor itch. Should I stop using Rogaine or is this normal for the first several weeks? Or maybe I need to switch to another brand of minoxidil.

I had the same problem when I started on 5%. It's probably due to the ppg and not the mixnox. My irritation mostly went away after a few weeks. Hopefully your's will too.

Is it possible that the Nizoral is causing the irritation and not the minoxidil? How should I proceed, stop Nizoral and continue with minoxidil for a couple of weeks, or cut minoxidil right away?

i had horribly irritation at first, maybe even an allergic reaction. It all cleared up eventually and my hair looks better. Try adding Tricomin to your regime for the added benefit of growth and healthy hair/scalp. That's just my suggestion. Happy holidays,
