Hi I am male to female transgender taking HRT for a bit over a year and a half now, and recently started Dutasteride. I don’t have bad hair loss just some very slight thinning on the crown/top other than that hair looks ok! I’m mostly trying to prevent further hair loss and regrow a bit where it’s thin. However I’m a bit worried, I’ve heard some people say that Dutasteride is the most effective if you take the 0.5 mg dose once a day, however my Endocrinologist only gave me a prescription for Dutasteride every 2 days so 3 times a week. I’m really worried this dose isn’t enough, however also I just can’t afford to take it every day because I also take Estradiol, Cypro, and minoxidil which adds up to a lot. 
So I was thinking, could I take Dutasteride 0.5 mg every other day and basically get the same results as taking it once a day? I know Dutasteride has a long half life so could this be a better option than 3 times a week? I could really use some help and advice. Thank you.
My current Regimen: Androcur (Cyproterone acetate) 50 mg daily, 4 mg Estradiol sublingual twice daily, 2mg am 2mg pm. Minoxodil 5% daily, and Avodart (Dutasteride) (still working out dosage hence this thread).
