Hey everyone,

After high school at the age of 18 I donated my hair to Locks for Love, after which I buzzed my hair. That hair style stuck around until my manager mentioned my receding hairline around the age of 21. I was immediate self conscious, and even was in a state of self-denial until my mom confirmed the recession. As a result, I decided to grow my hair out and kept my hair under a ponytail. Partially to hide the hairline, partially because I HATE having hair in my eyes.

In August of 2012 I decided enough was enough and finally cut my hair (again, donated). I went to better regarded hair salon around here and asked the lady if she had any suggestions on haircuts to cover up my hairline. She didn't seem too confident, but ended up with a haircut that wasn't too bad. Unfortunately (or fortunately), what hair I do have grows quickly and once it reached a certain length it looked ridiculous due to the fact my hair is ridiculously straight and has no volume. I mean NONE.

Now, once again, I'm tired of hiding under the bandana and really want to find a nice hair cut that does a decent job of hiding my hairline. I have done research over the past few nights but am not quite satisfied with the results. That's where you guys come in. I'm really hoping you can offer suggestions, possibly due to personal experience!

Pics of my head are available here. Also, if you would like to see the haircut I had in August I suppose I could post a pic.

I am greatly looking forward to your recommendations. THANK YOU ahead of time :)

Thanks for the reply..I agree, long hair looks silly. I was just too lazy at school to get a hair cut. It seemed I never had time!

I thought about the Jude law look, too. I was afraid I couldn't pull it off because my hair has zero volume. I suppose that could be fixed with some pomme or gel or something?

I was hoping I would be able to regrow some hair after going to the dermatologist today but he didn't want to give me any prescriptions. I'm going to order some rogaine and hopefully that can do the trick (or at least slow the recession). That's for another thread, though.

Any other suggestions? Perhaps a poll is in order lol
