does anyone think they can just let there hairline receed and just wait till it slows down, so much that it will possibly stop then get hair trans plants to fill in those areas.and also can you where a hat right after you get them? at least untill the scarring goes down. i saw this dude that usedthe laser comb and after a week you couldn't even tell. all this is just to avoid side affects and the hassle of drugs or whatever.

I had plants on the hairline/temple region back in '88. At the time, I wasn't sure if I had finished receding and honestly, I didn't think about it and the doctor never discussed it.

I got lucky. It wasn't until last year that the natural hair behind the plants had thinned to the point where I could see "islands" in my future. Then I came here. My regimen has vastly improved my situation back to being a non-issue.

There really isn't a way to cover it up - the healing process is what it is. Though I know that recovery is quicker these days with Min part of the process. I remember feeling the same as you but once the first surgery was done, I didn't care. It was kind of a badge. Good luck.

The general strategy I recommend is to get on the Big Three for about 18 months. At that point, you have a good idea what drugs can do.

Then find a good MD and plot a long term hair transplant strategy.

Yes you can where a hat for the first week if you need to. The grafts actually heal very ver quickly these days. The donor scar is hidden by your hair.
