Every once and a while I comb out one of these. What looks to be a healthy hair shaft but the root/bulb area is noticeably thinner, and less pigmented. These types of odd hairs are different than the hairs normally shed from my scalp. Some time of fiber change in these strands? Active minaturization? Normal cycling into resting phase?
