Frontal Thinning - Need Advice

Hello,

I have frontal thinning and have been on propecia/finpecia for ten years with good success.

However I have used sleep medicines off and on for a couple years (Ambien and Lunesta) they cause my hair to shed.
I used Ambien first and lost some hair, most grew back after I stopped taking it. Then tried Lunesta later on and hair started to fall out again, was hoping it was just a cycle but continued to get worse.
After stopping Lunesta about a month ago some hair has grown back.

I used to only have thinning on the front top left and right sides of my head (more so on the left). But recently it appears to be thinning in the front too.

Thinking I need to add some additional treatment/treatments.
Currently I take 1mg finpecia a day, use Tricomin, and nizoral & Dandruff shampoos.

So my question is, does anyone have any recommendations on what I should do or add to my regimen to help regrow/maintain my hair?

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Here are some pics of my hairline

Could try dutasteride since you had success off of finasteride or minoxidil to see if you get some regrowth in the front.

Really? A hair transplant at nw2.5?

He is 10 years on finasteride. So I assume OP is 30+. He has very little recession for his age. He still has a excellent wide frontal forelock. The transplanted grafts can rely very well on his frontal forelock to create a very nice natural looking hairline. It would reinforce his hairline very well. People like OP are perfect hair transplant candidates in my opinion. A small FUE session would be enough with a skilled surgeon. Seems he is looking for regrowth too it seems and it's extremely unlikely any treatment will give that to him for his hairline.

That hair transplant came out great.
I'm afraid with a transplant that if I continued to lose hair and decided to shave my head, the scars would show.
Is this a legitimate concern?

Also, maybe I should try minoxidil, dutasteride or RU58841 first to see how I do with those?
If so which would be best to try for my type of hair loss?

Thanks all for replies

Did you get any regrowth at the front with finasteride or just maintain? Also what norwood were you when you started taking finasteride?

Yes I had a little hair regrowth at the front with finasteride, but mostly maintained what I had.
I guess I was a norwood one when I started taking finasteride. I started taking shortly after noticing hair loss.

Yes and no. Because you can have a small session you can spread out the punches pretty far apart. What you will be left with is "micro-scarring", often it's barely visible at all. In your position I would know immediately what I would do.

In terms of treatments I would try out minoxidil and switch over to dutasteride. See if that makes you happy.
