Finasteride side effects in first weeks?

Hi,
I am 21 years old and have had my hair getting a lot thinner on top and on the crown area. I started off using minoxidil twice every day like 3 months ago, and just started taking finasteride (1.25MG every day) 2 weeks ago. I am a person who was always very horny all day, but now already after two weeks my libido has decreased a lot and its very hard to get an errection.

Is it normal to have such heavy side effects after two weeks, and will these sides become less strong over time?

Sides this early are not unheard of. Give it a full month and see how you're feeling, if the libido persists I would reduce the mg to only .5. There's a success story some where on here where a guy was having some issues with a full dose, ended up going down to .5 and got incredible results. Give it time and patience, and don't constantly focus on it- assess where you are at the end of every day.

usually they say sides are more common when you first start and go away with continued use

if you're concerened then consult a doctor

I moved over to a smaller dosis (0,6mg) a day, and now the sides are gone.
Gonna stick to it for a while, and perhaps increase the dosis in a later stage.
