finasteride for frontal thinning? Shedding side effect?

I was wondering about general success rates for frontal thinning?

Also, when on it, people's accounts of "shedding worries me. Is it universally bad, and what causes this? For some people, it seems to make it worse?!

For me, I'd be happy with, at the very least, retaiing my meagre hair count at the front but having it thicken up. Though, I want to tackle the internal causes rather than apply topicals ad infinitum

Will it at least do that?

I want to be sure I'm not expecting the wrong thing from Finasteride.[/i]

There is honestly no telling what will happen. Everyone reacts differently. You might shed, you might not. You might grow it all back, you might not. There is no definitives in this game... just try it.
