In addition to a thinning crown, I just tested for Low T. When it rains it pours I guess. But maybe if I had "High T" I'd have greater hair loss, according to Doctor

I'm supposed to re-test in the a.m. since T levels are higher then. If finasteride sides freak me out, would testosterone therapy be the perfect counterweight to finasteride? I'd have more testosterone, but also something blocking DHT to keep the hair. Does this make any sense or is it flawed logic? Fire away.

I don't think you're wrong in speculating that maybe TRT and finasteride could work for you. Many people who use steroids and other non-DHT derived anabolics use finasteride on cycle to combat the conversion of testosterone to DHT via 5-AR as a means of reducing their likelihood to accelerate male pattern baldness. With regards to finasteride sides, DHT is important in male sexual development and my logic is that if it didn't do anything after puberty; through evolution our bodies would more then likely stop producing it. An excerpt from this article (http://www.bmj.com/content/310/6990/1289) states that

"It is not known whether supplementation with testosterone improves sexual activity by increasing concentrations of circulating testosterone or through conversion to the much more potent dihydrotestosterone"

It does go on to further suggest that DHT is essential to male sexual function but if you're interested in reading it i'm sure you will. With that, I myself am 19 years old and obviously have pretty high levels of test and take finasteride. With all the premed classes and clinical research i've been juggling, I find my libido to be where it usually is around this time of year. I supplement with arginine, horny goat weed and MACA as a precautionary means of keeping South Dakota (my name is Dakota) standing high and mighty. Good luck with everything.
