I think caucasians have a higher incidence of hair loss than asians. Until a full genetic tree study is performed, We can never be sure if male pattern baldness is related to Human racial genetics or environmental factors or both.

I firmly believe it has a lot to do with the diet and lifestyle(Stress et all) we follow. It you notice the number of baldies are increasing every decade at an alarming rate. A young person should never go through this.

I think that's definately right...alot more of it is environmental than we think. I know Asians specifically have a much much lower rate of hairloss in Asia than the ones in say, the U.S. People always cite the rural Japanese, their healthy diet and almost 0 incidence of hairloss.

I read an article once that stated that non-Europeans had extremely low rates of hair loss before becoming integrated into Western society. Asians and Africans especially, once living in Western countries, developed significantly higher rates of hair loss.

Who knows? Maybe their genes are just trying to "fit in"

I dont think environmental factors are the nly reason I am sure there are some genetic factors involved right from the homo sapien tree.

True... its genetics too.. but consider this... the Baldies just keep growing every generation and now they get it while they are still in their 20s...(although i cant prove they didnt get it in their 20s in the past) but the difference between east and west suggest it has to do something with stress, lifestyle and diet... Althought I would say i dont stress that much and am more inclined to blame it on the food and lifestlye plus I am also a vegetarian. Dunno man.. its just so purplexing.. however 40% is a ridiculous number .. Sometimes I secretly hope it becomes like a mass epidemic.. that way scientists all around the world would be more motivated to find a cure.. although the snake oil/fake product companies will have a ball... :-x

Thgos figures seem rather genereous. I would imagine the rate of hairloss in countries like the USA is much higher. Thos figures must be something to do with heavy loss i.e. Norwood 3+ because most males in America over the age of 20+ are suffering some hairloss.
