I made a post earlier about this but i wanted to clear some stuff up
Im on xandrox 5%. I like it a lot. The first 2 or so weeks I used it (Sep 10,2005) I shed ALOT. Not so much more in the shower, but I noticed one time wearing a black shirt I had tons of little piece of sh*t hairs around the collar.

According to my docs, I had Telogen Effluvium exacerbated by panic attacks for almost like a year. The hair started thinning in certain areas and I was freaking out. My specialist recommended rogaine for my recovery to help boost recovery time. I hesitated until finally I realized whether it is Telogen Effluvium or not, nothing was happening for shitty areas on my vetex. I finally took the plunge and got xandrox.

After the initial shed of sh*t hairs, my vertex thickened up so much so that today I am able to get my hair cut like the Gotti kids, spiked up all over. The thinning areas have vanished with the exception of blonde hairs around my hairline. Strangely the blonde hairs always seem to look bad to me, but I am able to style my hair today in a haircut I would have never been able to 6 months ago because my hairline was in bad shape. I dont really have any temple recession but my hairline is still not as thick as I would like it to be. It progresses from blonde hairs to dark thicker hairs by the temples . In my dreams, would like for these blonde hairs to thicken up

So now its November 26th, about 2 and a half months since i started xandrox and i went from 1 or 2 hairs shed in the shower to having 5 again on my hand when i have the guts to scrub conditioner in my head and actually start at my bare hands. I know 5 isnt alot but it still scares me being at the height of my anxiety disorder I was shedding around 30 hairs each time i washed my hair along with like 10 on my pillow. Seeing anymore than 1 or 2 makes me think im going to relapse especially after i seemed to have it completely under control for these past 2 months.

Has anyone noticed an increase in shedding on minoxidil around the 2.5 month mark? Is this a good sign that telogen hairs are being shed and im responding to the treatment? HELP the depression is starting to set in because i dont want to lose hope and i dont want to see tons of hair again and have panic attacks from it

a few more hair shed does not mean anything. i believe everyone experience such issues here and there. don't worry so much and keep to your treatment. you are doing fine.

i gald minoxidil is working so well for you. infact, you are one of those who response very well to it! you can expect better result as you are on it for about 2months only.
