dry, brittle, and dull hair

Hey guys,

Does dry, brittle, and dull hair have anything to do with male pattern baldness? Because for the first time in my life, my hair has become really brittle and it seems lifeless.

Only a few weeks ago did I notice that my hair started to become really thin and that I can see my scalp in certain areas. Also a couple of weeks ago, for about a day or two my hair became really oily and itchy out of no where, this too happened for the first time in my life but that problem seems to have subsided.

I'm not on any regimen or medication. Anyone know what's going on?

i dont want to scare you but, yeah, my hair did the same thing. It seems the quality of the hair degrades as you're losing it. Post some pics.

xe0, how is your nutrition? Do you take a vitamin, or if not, eat a good balanced diet?

That's what I was afraid of. :(
I don't have access to a camera right now but I'll try to post some pics once I do.

I just started taking vitamins about two weeks ago. I did have a huge diet change two months ago, I started eating less but I started eating a lot protein again whereas before that I was eating mostly non-meat items (I was doing this for at least 6 months). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

How often do you apply emu oil and how quickly have you noticed your hair starting to get healthy again?

Thanks for the help!

I apply emu oil before bed - a good dropperful massaged into my scalp. Afer you massage it in - run a wide tooth comb through your hair to insure hat the emu oil gets distributed along the entire length of your strands of hair.

Shampoo as usual in the morning.

Results are immediate! I haven't had to condition my hair in years.

If your hair's really bad - try taking just a little bit and applying it to the ends of your hair earlier in the day - not too much as the stuff ain't cosmetically acceptable - meaning you can't soak your scalp in the stuff and then go out and about on the town.
