Discontinuing Biotin

So I had been taking biotin for close to 2 months now. I started taking it after I cut my hair the first week of June. This is when I first noticed that my hair was falling (when I was an NW1). Before I cut my hair, I never noticed or knew that my hair was falling. I didn't notice hairs on my hands or on my bath tub. It was after I cut my hair and I freaked out and bought biotin, that the hairs started falling to the point that it was becoming frustrating.

Since I went from an NW1 to a NW2.5 in a week short of 2 months, it is clearly obvious that the biotin is not working. I had been taking 10,000 mcg biotin per day and I'm curious if that made things worse for me than better.

I guess I'm writing this to see if anyone else has had a similar problem with this supplement or with any other thing that they are using to combat hair loss.

Biotin does absolutely nothing for male pattern baldness in the first place.
