Hello, i have noticed hairloss for quite a while and i have diffuse hairloss with noticeable thinning on the crown and now the temples. I dont have a regime, i just use Zizoral every other day to stop the itching and help with the inflammation.

Im 21 so i probably could get Propecia but i dont want the risks that come with it. My hair loss stabilized a bit for the last few months but i started going to the gym 3 times a week and lifting weights and its falling out really fast now.

I want to give spironolactone a go, will it give me any benefits? I dont want the one that smells really bad either. I live in the uk, so i dont know where to get it.

Thanks

spironolactone is often the choice of the body builder, because it allegedly isn't absorbed systematically, and many report success although i think given the half life of spironolactone it needs to be applied twice daily.

Given the fact you have diffuse hair loss it could be quite a problem.

I use it but in targeted areas.

I made my own as by the time you've ordered it from abroad and paid VAT and handling charges it costs quite a bit, i just crushed some tabs and added them to 50ml of E45 cream and a bit of vodka!

I've only been using it for two weeks so i couldn't really comment on results.

I'd investigate other topicals such as ru, revivogen and cb 03 01 before commiting to spironolactone.

I'd also re asses whether or not propecia could be for you.

I take spironolactone internally and the sides are unacceptable so tell me is there anywhere to buy the topical spironolactone cheaper? I wear my hair very long and I could go through the little tea cup they sell within 3 days.
