Can I use Minoxidil on head AND beard at the same time, twice a day?

There is 99% chance I have DUPA (diffuse unpatterned alopecia) since my hair is thinning and shedding everywhere (even in donor area) and I'm currently a NW2.

Jumped on finasteride and minoxidil 5 days ago.

Can I use minoxidil on my beard as well? Anyone tried it on both from the beginning? Should I expect more shedding if I apply minoxidil on my beard?
Maybe I should wait to see if minoxidil is effective on my hair first.

It'll work on your beard, but I, personally, would never put it directly on my face...
