Blood in my feces

I am 21, I've been taking finasteride about 17 months at this stage.

This is a bit graphic but its a problem nonetheless.

One day last week I hadnt crapped in about 48 hours (I wasn't constipated, I just hadnt the urge to go), when I finally went it was quite explosive (lol) but I put this down to the 2 day backhaul. It was actually a bit painful to squeeze out. I thought I had diarrhea but when I wiped my *** there was nothing but blood on the paper, and the toilet water was mostly blood with some very bloody stools. As a matter of fact, there was hardly any stools in the water, I thought I was squeezing out what felt like crap but it turned out to be blood.

This happened before, everyday for a week about 6 months ago. It stopped so I never bothered going to see a doctor. My doctor doesnt know I am taking finasteride, I order off the net, I haven't seen him in 3 years and never about my hairloss.

I know blood in stools can be down to a number of minor issues, like wiping too hard or a small blood vessel leaking somewhere along the way. But I was wondering could it be down to propecia, considering it is a prostate drug. Also my a**h** has been sensitive over the past few months, I guess the best way to describe it would be as ticklish and itchy.

Btw I am not gay and I have never taken it up the ***, in case you are wondering.

Thanks

Go to a doctor as soon as possible, bro. As you´ve said it could be due to minor circumstances, but stay aware if there´s another issue.

Don´t hesitate and do it right know. This is the only way you can be sure of what´s happening.

I don´t think finasteride has nothing to do with it, since prostate is not a part of the digestive system, as I´ve understand.

But please, visit your nearest doctor quickly.

I'd bet money it's not the finasteride. Listen to Solo. Go see a Doctor PRONTO.

Don't worry bro, if it is what I think it is then it's not serious and it has nothing to do with finasteride. Judging from the blood, the fact that your butthole is itchy, you hadn't crapped in 48 hours and it was painful when u did crap, it sounds like you most likely have internal hemorroids. I know this b/c I just went through it a few months ago

In order to get rid of it, you need to become regular (ie. take a dump at a normal frequency). To do this you must eat less fatty foods, add more fibre to your diet, and don't eat so much in one sitting. The thing that caused it for me was because I'd only eat two meals a day, but they'd be huge fatty meals.

When you do this, it'll take a while before you stop bleeding so you'll have to be patient. However, if you've been normal for weeks (ie. taking a dump at a normal rate with your stool being of normal size and texture) and you're still noticing blood, then I suggest you go see a doctor because it could be something else.

Go to a doctor, even if you have no insurance, go wait at an ER all day if you have to.

Go go go go go go go go go go!!!! :freaked2: :freaked: :freaked2:

I had the same problem when I was a kid. I had some pretty uncomfortable testing done but it turned out to be benign polyps. These could be a precursor to colon cancer, however, so it's advisable to get yourself checked out immediately and continue to have yourself checked out on a yearly basis.

Good advice from everyone IMHO.

When I was young, and eating WAY too much junk food, the doctor told me I had internal hemmorioids.

He told me to start eating better food and it should keep them under control. He was right!!

Dude, like everyone has said, it has nothing to do with finasteride, it's hemrroids and some sort of internal hemorraging. Go to the doctor now if you haven't already.
