I was intending on getting fue with erdogan next year but after having a look at some photos I’m pretty sure my donor area is too weak. This is disheartening as fuck... I’m a male model (worked for Gucci, Dior, Burberry to name a few) and my hair loss is gonna mean I’ll have to stop modelling which fucking sucks. I’m losing my hair with no results from propecia and and keto. A transplant was the one thing keeping me going. Actually sucks so much dick. Anyway, your opinions on the matter would be most appreciated.

The bit about my job was really just to provide context - find it a little weird you singled that out instead of just giving me some advice. All good though

you don't seem to have a lot of recession (if any whatsoever). has finasteride stabilized your hairloss?

Lol those pictures are when my hairs long and Been styled by pro hair stylists who are too polite to ask if I’m losing my hair. I’ve been on fina about 8 months and have receded a little more and experienced more general diffuse thinning so no no stabalisation

I'm not an expert on hairtransplants but from what I've read most people send in pictures to erdogan for an evaluation, perhaps you should do the same.

Dutasteride could also be an option in the future but I'm not sure how dangerous that is in relation to the sides.

i assume you have checked for other possible medical conditions , thyroid / nutritional deficiencies etc
some people dont respond at all to finasteride , you might try dutasteride or other antiadrogens (maybe even lower pgd2 if antiandrogens dont produce any result )
the thing is that if you dont stabilise your hairloss , even a hair transplant wont buy you so much time probably

taper off slowly if you get sides , persistent ones are probably mental since hormones almost always seem to go back

F*ck, I hate to say you are gonna be the guy to convince me to come commit to taking finasteride.
In all honesty, do you think I should hold off 2 months to see what this Brotzu is all about?

depends on how fast you are losing ! my first steps would be to check for medical conditions
then if you are losing slowly you can start with minoxidil only and try to buy time at least , or even toy around with pgd2 if you have the budget to see if it does anything for you.
Now if you re losing fast you should try finasteride , or if you really have high hopes for brotzu wait for it and try it after , the problem is that possible treatments are always around the corner but can you rely on them ?
I myself would be more than happy to try brotzu even if it only slows down hairloss , as it probably will be sideless , but fidia seems amateurish so my hopes are low
Truth is that finasteride is not the devil , dont forget that people who try it and dont get sides are not gonna stick around a forum where people are considering suicide . That being said noone would take finasteride if there was something better !

I’m gonna do some kind of online consultation with erdogan then. In the meantime is there something I can do to give you a better idea of the density? Better lighting maybe?

    nah dont worry

just get proper consultations so you know exactly what you have to work with

but if finasteride isnt slowing down your hair loss then surgery isnt wise mate, especially at your age

you have to stop your hair loss before even thinking about surgery

if finasteride isnt working, look into other drugs. theres plenty to try, but there more experimental so they have bigger risks/side effect profiles

do your research mate, take your time

I mean I thinks it’s slowing it down slightly. How long would you say I should wait before I know my hair loss is stabalised? A year?

yeah a year is a good time. check your before/after photos, make sure youve stopped it. or at least significantly slowed it down

if you havent, dont even consider surgery
