hi, i'd just like to start this thread because i read discussion everywhere about whether or not a bald man is attractive to a woman. I have put a poll so people can vote.

let me illustrate what i think:

1. i think women (in general) are looking for something that compliments them, not something that is like them. Men with lots of hair are more like women, so they are less complimentary and almost more like competition.

2. i think womens opinions about what is attractive are completely different to what mens are. I think that because alot of men find themselves unattractive with a bald head, they then project this feeling onto a woman, when its not actually true. A woman is looking at lots of factors, such as your teeth, your bone structure, the size of you dick, the way you look at her etc. I dont think hair is all that high on this list, for most women.

3. Turn the tables on their head. The thing alot of women seem to worry about most is breast size. Is this so important? if you met a nice girl who had small breasts, could you still fall in love? the answer for me is yes no problem

this ones a bit more subjective but i'll say it anyway..

4. i think far too much respect and time is devoted to womens opinions in the western world today. Women seem to have become equated with success and men with failure. I think that people are worried about whether a woman finds them attractive and equated this with whether they are bald or not, whereas there is a much more deep routed problem in society these days - its normal all men feel unattractive when the whole world is constantly telling them they are losers, bald or otherwise.

to be honest, breast zise doesnt matter to me in a woman. however, legs do. i dont find short women attractive as taller women, and i find short squatty legs a bit of a turn off.

men and women both have legs and most women find shorter men less appealing. men and women both have hair and most women find blading men less appealing. there have been scientific studies which attest to this.

Imagine this.... Theres 2 identical twins, both are physically fit, well built, great personalities, good looking, smart, one has a horseshoe and one has Elvis-like thick head of hair....

Which one do you think the girl will want???

How man women ever had to pick from 2 men - identical in every aspect except one - be that height, wealth, penis size or amount of hair.

I am willing to bet almost never.

you are missing a point here. A woman is complimented by having an aesthetically perfect guy by her side. Having something impressive by your side is a plus to anyone. If that was not the case they would be all dating penguins.

The question is meant to be hypothetical

and the answer is (in the majority of women) the man with the hair.

Of course I realise that this a hypothetical example. However in real life there are so many factors in how people choose a partner.

What I am trying to point out is -

Although a lot of women would prefer a guy with locks, it is not the only factor.

Hell, if I could always choose, I would choose a girl, with bigger perter tits, longer legs - red hair instead of mousy - - - all with the personality I like. But that will never happen.

Even though I've had to choose between 2 girls it was never a straight decider based on one factor.

Unless I missed something, most people don't pick their partner out of catalogue according to how well they can do.. People generally still like each other as individuals first and the details second.

Maybe you pick women according to how they rate on you scale... well then you shouldn't get in a sh*t if women do the same to you!

This is true that hair is not the only factor, but the question put the very simple choice before our hypothetical women to make a point.

And that point is, simply put, baldness is very rarely an advantage in attracing the opposte sex.

Again you are correct here, attraction (especially in women) is diffused over many attributes. But once again I return to the premise put forward by HairyPotter, most females will choose the man without male pattern baldness.

Coldcrush dear child!! Yes I do rate women according to how they rate on my scale and I am sure you do the same, infact we all do !!!

And I do not 'get in a sh*t' when women find me less attractive than an identical clone with a full head of hair, unfortuantely that is just the way things are.

Ok, lets take the twins example again but change a few things. What if one twin was very physically fit and dressed nicely but was bald. He also has nice white straight teeth. Now the other bro is a bit on the pudgy side, dresses like a slob but has hair. He also has yellow crooked *** british sailor teeth. Both have good personalities. Now who would the women pick.

I think its ridiculous that we can speculate what women think. As someone stated earlier how women stress a lot about breast size... when it comes down to it, thats not the only factor we choose on. Super fat b****s have the biggest boobs but thats not all we care about. Ugly motherfuckers have a great head of hair, but thats obviously not all women care about.

Arsenal football Frederick Lljunberg was voted one of the sexiest man on the planet - he's bald. Thats what im saying, he has a good bone structure and a good set of teeth. People focus on that not on his baldness. If there is anyone here who can tell me he is ugly, because he is bald i'd like to here it.

This is stupid, baldness on the whole is less attractive. There are cases where some women may like bald men or the man looks better bald, these are rare cases.

You can dance around the idea all you like but at the end of the day, man with hair on his head wins.

If you see who are considered most attractive men throughout history, the vast majority of them have some norwood going on.

Well, not too much norwood, the only exception could be Sean Connery with his full norwood at the age of 20.

The other face can be James Dean, but he was a film-star becouse he was gay and had intercourse with producers who made him a star becouse his gay looks, despite of the fact girls like him madly. Even now.

I think male pattern baldness is not such a critical factor when it comes to girls. If you take a look at people, a guy doesn´t get his looks destroyed until male pattern baldness is really serious (Norwood >4), and even then some can pull with the shaved look. If you´r ugly, you´ll look uglier, if your beatiful, you´ll look less beautiful, that´s it.

But, as Gilgamesh said once, I want my hair for my self. I don´t really care if girls would like me (well, that is a plus), I think hair was part of me. An I think hair is one of the most moldable parts in order to show your personality. It´s like something´s missing without hair. And too soon, in our particular case.

First of all Frederick Lljunberg is not bald, he is receding. That's a huge difference. Secondly, he is a handsome guy and he can carry off his receding hairline very well. He has good bone structure like you say and would be handsome with or without hair. Most of us are not that lucky though and hair makes a huge difference to our attractiveness. It frames our face and makes our features appear less severe.

Also Freddie has done the right thing in shaving his hair short. Part of the reasons why women find balding men unattractive is because our loss of hair makes us look unhealthy, and therefore not good genetic partners. That's why it's far better to go cropped when you begin to recede - it lessens that impact.
