Abstinance?

I took all sorts of vitamins and crap for the past 20 years. I stuck to many regimes and got nowhere. I'm still stuck on watching what I eat and worry about stopping certain things or adding to my diet.
Recently I found out that salt is good for thinning hair in the diet. How much this is true is not the point. I have dodged this stuff for years because I was told it was bad.

Now I am being told that it is good for me so I have the dilemma of should I or shouldn't I put extra salt on my food. I could be a salt junkie before the year is out!!

Anybody else abstain from stuff you really really like for the sake of your hair?

Diet isn't going to affect hair loss unless you're diet is really, really deficient. Eat what you want, eat healthy, whatever. The reason you have seen no results is because DIET DOES NOT AFFECT HAIR LOSS.
