I can't quite make out what the tattoo looks like. Could you possibly take some closer shots of it?

Anyway, I'll agree with Williteverend. You're a pretty decent looking guy to begin with, and you've got fine facial features for the shaved look.

Anyone who saw you on the street would think you looked just fine. Get a tan and dress nice. Oh, and maybe smile a bit. :)

You've got a great attitude about this. I'm sure you've done some serious soul-searching over the past year.

That goes for everything, not just hairloss!

Positive changes occur through taking action, and not simmering in ones own self-suffocation and depression.

Take the choke hold off your neck and live! ;)

But hey man, you do look just fine btw... Actually you look rather thuggish..

I'm sure you'll have no problems finding a girl too so don't worry about the shy stuff... you wear a shaved head just fine in my opinion.

I've got hair on my head now, but when I was in the Air Force I used to shave it all the time.. NO BIG DEAL ! ;) (I'm 27 btw).

Take it easy man.. you're on your way to a successful 'new look' !

:D

Kyriakin,

How in the hell did you pull all my thoughts, from my messed up head, into a most brutally honest thread.

Even though you are across the pond (I gather) your story parallels to mine to a T (although I am 26 and had some really good years in terms of ignorance to what I would know as male pattern baldness). Always "felt" great knowing you could attract women (and feeling secure around other decent looking guys). I don't even have to expound on the mental aspects of losing hair cause you already summed up perfectly.

The question for you is: During this present moment are you reeling or are you stable or on the upswing in terms of socialising (mainly with the opposite sex but going out and having fun, if you feel you can that is)?

The problem is, not everyone looks good with a shaved head. Some even look downright ridiculous.

Great posts, Kyriakin.

Very valid points and the biggest hurdle in all of this is realizing and accepting you are the same person. Confidence is always what people were drawn to me for and if I let hairloss take that, then it's done more than take my hair.

I remember the teenage girl who is a surfer. She was attacked by a shark and lost her arm. She was in high school and suddenly only had one arm. She was optimistic about it, went on all the morning news shows and told everyone that yes, it sucked but life isn't over. She was damn perky about it.

If a teenage girl can lose an arm and still be stoked on life, we can lose our hair and still kick ***. Best of luck to everyone.

Now, being totally honest, not many heterosexual men are ever going to be attracted to a bald female. We have an inbuilt bias against being attracted to bald people, and seeing them as good-looking.

Women, on the other hand, can see an attractiveness in a macho, tanned bald man, that we as men cannot comprehend, because it is so far from the ideal that we have in women. That's why we don't see this attractiveness when we look in a mirror, and need women to re-assure us all the time.

That's the way I see it anyway..

EXACTLY!!! Great post.

you and i have very similar facial structure, dam kinda crazy. anyway you look way better with the shaved head than you did with hair (kinda looked ferry) i like the tat, i suggested that on here a few times and got shot down so i let it go. it looks way better than thinning hair. im kinda of the GQ style person i workout a lot and keep tan but have been scared to take the step you did with the tat. what do you do with the sides when you have a tat on top like that? i would really aprriciate a closer pic of the top. :D

This is of course true but you need to extend this further as it relates to the process of balding. And to that we must use symmetry. Obviously our physical attraction to women is her well proportioned features (even short hair girls can be fine).

Kyriakin shaved his head to make his look symmetrical. A diffuse thinner on the other hand is ASYMMETRICAL. This frankly does not look appealing, especially to the guy in the mirror.

Hey man, you are a very good looking dude and should have NO problem pulling some hoe's.

You have a good face and low body fat. I suggest you get in the gym and pack on some muscle.

You'll be pulling in hot *** in no time.

Just make sure to FOCUS ON SCHOOL too. Make that money! Get your head out of the cloud.

You're just in the dumps right now. You're very young and it is like a nuke hitting you directly right now.

What you don't realize is that you are extremely good looking even without hair and you just need more confidence.

Join a gym, start a dedicated lifting program, change your life in positive ways, get rid of all negativity.....

Don't become Gunner. You're the man.

I promise you, you can still get some ***. You're one of the lucky ones. Went bald but still look damn good.

Keep ya head up.

remember, if you screw up the opportunities you have right now because of hair loss, you will HATE yourself. And that is utter darkness. Don't go there.

Kyriakin,
In my opinion, you should had given finasteride/Min/nizoral 2 years. The chances of this regimen working wonders are very good together. I see from your profile, you were on minoxidil for around 8-9 months.

minoxidil may well be slowing down your hair loss. I can understand that now you hair might be looking sh*t as you have dropped minoxidil. But within 5-6 months, you will grow back and things will be back to normal, the same way it shud had been if you never started minoxidil at first stage.

BTW, you look good with a shaved head :)

Good luck.
