I have never heard of any adverse effects, on the contrary sometimes ginkgo biloba is discussed as being helpfull.. I take ginkgo regularly but can't say there is any difference.

I know it is hard, do the most possible at the moment to find a "place" where you are comfortable with your life, treating it like a lesson, not like a curse. You are still very young take advantage of that.
