Two years later, stilll not sure what to think??

Well I haven't noticed a lot of shedding. I was freaking out about shedding for a while last year, but honestly I think it's OK to loose 20-30 hairs a day. I believe that's normal. There's definitely been no increase in shedding. But my hair is just so thin, particularly at the front right side...

Two years later, still not sure what to think?? I posted here back in May of 2011 about my perceived hair problem at the age of 22, I had just discovered what I thought was eerily thinning hair in places. I had just gotten my mane cut to about shoulder length at the time, the only difference is...

Telogen effluvium - is this still diffuse hair loss or male pattern baldness?

Really don't know what to say, other than hair loss is hair loss. To me, when hair starts thinning it looks the same, no matter the cause. Don't think anyone, especially non-professionals, could just look at your thinning and determine why. To my understanding the only way to find out, is to...

is this male pattern baldness or stress related hairloss?

But it is one of the strongest when taken orally, from what I've read. That's what I was rfeffering to.

is this male pattern baldness or stress related hairloss?

I'm fairly familiar with what androgen blockers are. If one were to take Spironolactone, in theory it would put a solid end to hair loss right? All concerns of de-masculinization aside?

is this male pattern baldness or stress related hairloss?

Personally I find it hard to believe that anything short of a disease or predisposition can actually cause hair loss... but that's me. I don't know much about it tbh. I've only just discovered my own thinning and I'm still in a bit of disbelief. Baldness is not a factor in my family for...

    Hair Loss Without Heredity

I don't understand it either. My father has very healthy hair in his 50s. His father and my mother's father, both now deceased, also never had any hair loss. Yet here I am at 22 with my badly thinning crown, which I never noticed until just a few weeks ago.

    Hair loss or just paranoid?

So you haven't actually been diagnosed with male pattern baldness, and you've seen a dermatologist? Or do they just diagnose all evidence of hair loss as such? I figured they'd have a way of testing to rule out causes.

    Hair loss or just paranoid?

So I suppose if I have male pattern baldness, the multivitamins and biotine shampoo isn't going to do a thing for me. The next step for me then is to see a dermatologist, I'm guessing they will run some tests? This is all very strange and sudden to me. How often do people develop male pattern baldness when it isn't a trait among...

    Hair loss or just paranoid?

Or in the time you fly off, you could've just told me. Yes, I am new to this. I know little to nothing about hair loss, that's why I came here. ...oh and my questions are still plenty, and I'd like to have them addressed still yet by real people with experience. Thank you.

    Hair loss or just paranoid?

What exactly is "the big 3", and how has that worked for you (if at all)? Are you saying that the "frizzy" look is a sign of hair loss? I was never too sure why it started looking so frizzy. I actually did use a flat iron to straighten it over the last few years, initially just to get rid of...

    Hair loss or just paranoid?

I want to start with a brief history. As a child I had very straight fine hair up until about the age of 14 when it suddenly changed to a wavy, almost curly shape. A few years later when I started HS I began to grow my hair out very long. I never had it cut or even trimmed from 2004 until just...
