    New Dermaroller Study; Thoughts, comments?

Any chance a laser comb would work in conjunction with this or as a replacement to minoxidil? Also thinking Aloe Vera or Adenosine might work bc all three are useful for wound healing. Or I could be totally off. Thoughts? - - - Updated - - - Any chance a laser comb would work in conjunction...

    Too soon for Rogaine?

Propecia is not an option for me as I have a history of depression. Nothing, even hair, is worth bringing that back. Ive been on Nizoral 2% EOD for a year, and while I think Ive lost ground its hard to definitively say from pictures. I also use aloe vera gel nightly and a few weeks ago...

    Any Aloe Vera users?

Just curious if there was a point where everyone here tried Aloe Vera or not. It definitely cools my scalp, but I don't want to use it if it could make things worse. Not a lot of research, but it is cited as a possible tool against hair loss. Thoughts?

After 2 months of Nizoral 2%

My hair before buzzing it again two-three weeks ago looked fine. It's when I buzz it that I can see whats begining to take place, and I wanted to get on top of this. I have a Propecia script, but wanted to try nizoral 2% first since i am at the early stages. Will wait the 6 months and if it...

After 2 months of Nizoral 2%

I'm strongly hoping that is the case here. Nizoral is such a tricky thing to evaluate b/c on the one hand you often have the party line as being "it doesn't do much but calm the scalp", but i assume using rogaine only once a week wouldn't do much either. It's been shown in a more than one...

After 2 months of Nizoral 2%

Not really sure....there was always one spot in the front that for years seemed a little thin, but didn't notice diffuse thinning until i buzzed my head down.

After 2 months of Nizoral 2%

4+ times a week as prescribed by the derm my hair looks much worse! The question I have is why? Is it most likely extremely fast male pattern baldness, shedding from the nizoral (which would be a good thing meaning it's working), or overuse? I never had any skin reaction, redness, or irritation. I caught on to...

    Starting Propecia too soon?

My derm prescribed my Propecia, but I came across a post that talk about if you start it while you have full coverage but just thinning it will actually turn on receptors and speed up the balding process. Any truth to this?

Doctor prescribed Nizoral 2% for Daily use

Got a prescription for 2% Nizoral and the instructions from the derm were to use DAILY. Is this something anyone else has been prescribed to do? Usually people are instructed 2 or 3 times a week. Thought it was odd. This is a big time NYC derm.
