Max, If you have some kind of underlying scalp problem such as flaking scalp from the minoxidil, this can hinder the effectiveness of any treatment. Might be worth trying Nizoral and T-Gel to calm the irritation; it's done the trick for me although judging by posts, everybody responds differently...

Just wondering whether Dutasteride, as it's to be released as a prostate drug, is likely to be affordably priced such as Proscar, or do you think Glaxo will realise many people will use it for hairloss and hike the price up like with Propecia. Any thoughts?

So, is the concensus folligen over Tricomin? I was hoping of using Tricomin as an extra instead of folligen (don't like the idea of hair/head staining) and minoxidil although I realise it probably won't provide the same results. Didn't really fancy going through the minoxidil shedding phase...

I was just wondering whether anybody else suffered with greasy skin as a result of Proscar; never had the problem before but since I've been taking it, been suffering with excessive amounts of spots, which I guess are a result of the increased greasiness :wink: of my skin??
