ok, so if shampoo may contribute to hair loss, then why isn't everyone using natural shampoos?

I have heard over and over how harsh chemicals in regular shampoos can strip the hair from its poise and moisture and can actually contribute to balding. Is this true, and if so, are natural shampoos really a safe alternative?
