I have had a bad headache behind the eye and forehead and a very stiff neck
for 5 weeks now and the Dr suspects a brain aneurysm (I have a CAT scan
Wednesday).
The headache is constant and it wakes me up early in the mornings.
I have been using topical Minoxidil since February 2015, is this...
Thanks for the replies.
Good point Koga.
Admin, I bought Fincar 5mg pills and tried cutting them into 5 with a pill cutter at first but was making a mess of it so have been cutting them into 4.
I could try cutting the 1/4's in half for about 60mg a day.
Possibly Ronin.
I have been using Nizoral twice a week since December 2014, Minoxidil foam daily since Feb 2015 and 125mg of finasteride daily since Feb 8th 2015.
Very pleased with the results, hair has really thickened up at the front and improved on the vertex.
But I have been feeling tired and lazy the past few...
I have been applying Minoxidil for over 3 weeks and been taking oral finasteride for 2 weeks and I can see some hairs coming through on my hairline that are about 1/2 inch to 3/4inch long.
Not sure if both products are equally responsible.
The hairs seem finer and lighter but it is still encouraging.
I am in my late forties. As soon as I go out the house my hair gets blown all over the place, even with gel in. I noticed the cheap gel no longer enabled me to comb my hair back with a bit of height. My hair is close to my head now it has thinned.
The stuff I had abroad was great and really...
Since about the age of 18 I have always used hair gel as my hair is fine. I used the cheap supermarket gel which cost about 50p.
But as I have got older the hair on the top of my head has thinned so I tried a new gel while I was abroad last year called Volume set it which really helped.
This...
My 5mg finasteride arrived today so I am using a pill cutter to chop each pill into 4 pieces. There was no paperwork with the pills, is it best to take them at a particular time of day, with or without food?
I am also using 5% Rogaine foam which I find difficult to apply to my scalp because I have long...
Well my hair has been slowly thinning on the top of my head for a few years so I thought I would start Regaine before it gets really bad.
Surely what you typed about needing to use it forever or lose all the hairs gained is the same for any age.
Or Maybe nizoral and finasteride alone are better for my age...
I have some Regaine extra strength for men 5% foam and on the patient information leaflet it says,
"This medicine is used to treat hereditary hair loss in men aged 18-49 years."
Why 49? I am 47.
Shall I just stick to Finasteride and Nizoral?
I have ordered 30 Fincar and on the website I saw some Mintop lotion 2% which is apparently generic Minoxidil, anyone here have experience with this product and is it any good?
Is Rogaine sold as a 5% solution?
It's just something my old GP said to me a few years back when I told him I had ordered some medication online because I did not want to bother him, he told me many medications ordered online are inert and he will happily prescribe it for me.
Unfortunately I have moved to another area and this...
