It is very hard to tell if finasteride has had a genuine effect.
I started taking it in December 2016, I have gone from a thinning Norwood 1 to a 3. No shed, no side effects, no regrowth :(
However, I've heard of plenty of people who have had success with finasteride, we are all different!
I've been on finasteride for 4 years or so - I think it has stabilised my hair loss somewhat, but I've been continuing my slower and steady descent down the thinning scale. I've never had regrowth sadly.
I was wondering when is the best time to get a hair transplant? I still have some thinning hairs in...
Hello, I've been on Finastride since December 2015. My temple hair has been gradually miniaturizing and I was hoping it would stop..
I've not had any sides, no shedding, and no slowing of my hair loss.
I'm becoming very depressed as my hair continues to thin and thin, despite also using minoxidil...
Hello
I started Propecia back in December. It was an early Xmas present for myself.
I used minoxidil once each night and Nizoral every other other day.
I don't appear to have any major sides, well apart my lack of morning wood. My hair has been continuing to thin, much to my sadness and...
Hello
I've been on propecia for just over 6 months now.
My hair doesn't seem to be improving, the distance in between the follicles are growing and my sides are slowly eroding away. A combover is looking likely in a few months. I've had no particular shedding, just a gradual disappearace of...
Hello
I finally plucked up the courage to take Propecia about four months ago.
Since then I've encountered some fairy minimal sides, such as a slight loss in libido, and I rarely get morning or random erections.
Hair wise, my hair is continuing to fall as it used to. My front and sides...
Thankyou Squirrell. How often do you use nizorial and did you start them the same as finasteride?
And 10 hairs.. that's a start. Hope it leads to many more!
Hello, I wondered how long Propecia starts to work. I put myself off after reading the potential side effects but finally started on it, and have been on for about 3 weeks.
I've noticed little side effects apart from a little less libido, but my hair hasn't shown any signs of stabilizing. I'm...
Hey everyone. I'm one of those whose literally obsessed by their disappearing hairline. I just wondered what the best option would be - to get on finasteride, and potentially start off some scary side effects... or save up for a transplant. £6000 is a way off yet but I'm determined to keep my hair...
Hello.
I have some confusion. I first got Rogaine back in March earlier this year, and usually only applied it on to my thinning temples once a day. Surprisingly quickly within 2 months, I began to grow new hairs, not many, that have been of a limper, weaker quality. I can see all these new...
27 now, have been thinning on my head and I can now count the hairs left on my forehead :/ Have been on minoxidil, first once a day, now twice a day for a few months. but no obvious shedding :/
but i've also noticed random body hair on shoulders, and also base of the spine... it feels like I want...
Hi, I've been using regaine liquid for a few months, but to be honest I don't think I've been applying right. I can only find crown applications instructions. It came with a spay nozzle and a dabber, but I bought an eye dropper instead to drip it in. I do it lying down as I end up with it...
Whilst my hairdresser was salvaging my receding hair (he gives me a fringe, it hides the lack of frontal hair, tho my hair is a constant mess and is attacked by the wind :/) he noticed how dry my hair was becoming. This is due to my rogaine application, of which I have to apply along my...
I've been doing some research and it seems the most effective means of applying rogaine is through the dropper method, as the spray sometimes gets consumed by hair before it reaches the scalp.
Unfortunately, the regaine I purchased only comes with a spray top or a rub on top, I'm not sure where...
