I'm so happy with the results I'm getting from Toppik that I'm worrked it's getting addictive.  My wife says I'm overdoing it and don't need to use it every day, especially if I'm just hanging around the house. The problem is that I like my hair looking like it did about seven years ago. It's a relief to not be able to see my scalp shining through when I look in the  mirror. I still have the appearance of balding due to my obviously receded hairline, but it's a lot better than having also having a big hole in my hat. Now that I've started using this stuff, I'm afraid of not having it. When I look in the mirror after showering and see how my head really looks,,, Ugh. Hopefully the minoxidil, propecia, and nizoral will help me get back to the point that I don't even need much Toppik anymore, but that's probably at least a year away if it even happens at all. Now I'm thinking about getting covure or dermmatch to go along with toppick. Am I getting out of ine with this, or is my newfound need for hair (or at least the appearance of it) typical?

Toppik has been a very good product for me thus far, at least in terms of covering my bald spot and thinning middle. It's not without drawbacks, though. I still get too much near my hairline, which I then have to blot off with a cottonball. I'm also using quite a bit of it. The 25 gram bottle is supposed to last fifty days, but at this rate I'll be lucky to still have some left by the end of the month. Depsite using hairspray, the fibers come off at night and I have to reapply it to start the day. I'm already getting addicted to it, though. Not physically, of course, but once you start using it, how do you ever go out in public again without toppik on, especially if you're around people who see you frequently? People haven't made any comments about me seeming to have more hair, but I'm pretty sure if they see me one day with the concealer on and the next day without it, they'd notice. At least I'm afraid they would. It does make a big difference. I know that other people don't scrutinize us as closely as we do ourselves, (unless you're in a club, which I stopped doing after getting married), but if your dome is shining one day and the next it's seemingly covered with hair, that's something people will notice. Nothing's perfect, though. Toppik does what it's supposed to. My head is itching pretty badly at times due to the minox. However, my hair looks a lot thicker, which I believe is caused by the Nizoral. I'm using niz every day, but only leaving it one for five minutes every three or four days. There shouldn't be a problem with that, right?

For many years I thought going bald wasn't going to be hard. My father was bald before he was 24, so I knew what to expect. I always thought when the time came I'd just get my  hair cut very short and deal with it. As it turns out, it's not as easy as I thought. I had always believed minoxidil was a scam in the sense that it couldn't make enough of a difference to justify the cost and inconvienience of putting it on twice a day for the rest of my life. My attitude was the same way for propecia. After seeing many of the results people on this board have had, though, my attitude has changed. It's worth a try, at least.
