Hi, I lost most of my hair when I was in my 20s more than two decades ago so I don't expect there to be any treatment that would work for me and I gave up hope a long, long time ago. My interest - really worry - is that my son is now going down a similar path to me, and that is something I would deeply like to avoid. I feel as if it's happening to me all over again and that I must suffer the pain I felt then. I have tried to get him to see a trickologist (the spelling is wrong, but more apt) but he says he hasn't time. Of course he's scared. I know Propecia and Minoxidil are out there; what I'm worried about are the potential side effects of using either or both. The horrific stories I read about on many blogs make me frightened of trying to push him to start such a treatment regime. Can anybody out there tell me why some people suffer side effects when using these drugs while others don't? Are there any safer alternatives that are as effective as the sellers of these two products claim them to be? I'd like to hear your comments. Thanks.
