radish's Hair Loss Story
I had extremely thick, silky and long hair (down to my thighs, all one thickness) until the age of twenty-two. At that age, I lost about 2/3 of my hair in a matter of six weeks. Then a great deal of it came back, but each strand thinner. After that, it stayed that way until I turned 26 and started doing my masters, then my PhD. The stress seemed to make my hair start falling out, and it turned into a continuous pattern. At age 34, my hair continues to fall out regularly, getting thinner and thinner. It's pretty thin at the front and crown now. I have no doubt that this is a hereditary condition as my mother's hair thinned considerably as well. I'd love to hear of people who have the same condition, but have treated it successfully.
