My hair began to thin in January 2010, by March I had 3 fairly large alopecia spots and by the end of March I was completely bald. Devastating. I feel I have no vanity left and am struggling with my sense of womanhood. My husband has been absolutely wonderful and supportive - I just feel so unattractive. When I look in the mirror (which I don't do very often now!) it reminds me of an episode of Star Trek, when Captain Kirk came into contact with an "alien" - she had no hair.
