I noticed my hair thinning 6 months ago when my Aunt asked me "Is you hair thinning". Up until that point, I had no idea. It seems to be an overall thinning but most noticeable in my crown and front of hair. I immediately stopped perming my hair and started with Biotin, MSM and tried numerous hair vitamin formulas. It's hard to figure out if it's hereditary, menopausal, hair care (perming, coloring), or medication related. (I take blood pressure medication). I went to a male dermatologist who basically just looked at my hair and prescribed Rogaine. He did not touch it, take a biopsy or anything.
