Hello, my name is Sonora, I am 17 years old and have had alopecia I was one. It started with Alopecia Areata, then Totalis when I was 8 years old. 9 years later and I have lost my eyebrows, eyelashes and everything else. I use to wear wigs, but rarely its not my personality, its like a mask. When I was younger my mother didnt except my disease and tried everything in her power to make my hair grow back. I use to get shots in my head, I dont remember what it was but it was painful. After trying everything from shots to creams, we gave up. I learned to deal with the people staring, and the constant looks of people feeling sorry for me...I much rather have someone just ask me so I can just inform them. I'm not looking for pitty.
