I was first diagnosed with Alopecia Areata at 4 years of age a long time ago. My loss was severe at the time almost totalis but I experienced regrowth a couple of years later. I continued to have ongoing bouts of AA afterwards sometimes just patchy loss, sometimes quite severe. I had the best hair ever when pregnant with my 3 children. In my forties the AA returned. I spent the next 10 years doing treatments to win the battle for my hair to no avail. By 50 I was totalis and by 52 I had also lost my eyebrows and eyelashes.
