Arrived for my 2nd transplant. 3 people in waiting room. Everyone but me was called back. a woman came in, sat down and asked to see my bald area. She said "that's nothing." Told me to take mineral oil. Called back by woman at front desk. She had my chart. She read info from my 1st procedure. i told her that was from my 1st procedure, she then found info from my 6-month check up. She asked me if 200 grafts was correct. I told her what mat told me, from a previous phone call, and that was, the doctor would make a final decision when he seen me today. She took me to a room and shut the door. mat quickly came in and asked me, what was my question? As usual, I was confused and told him that I didn't have a question, the woman at the front desk had a question about how many grafts I would be receiving today. He left, closed the door, and I waited for almost an hour. I finally opened the door and mat walked by, he stopped and asked me if she had come back in yet. I said no. He left and shut the door. The woman at the front desk then came back in and asked me, how did I want to pay for the additional work, I said, What additional work? She said, oh your not having any additional work, just the corrective procedure. I said yes. She left and shut the door. I opened the door and went to get a drink of water, passed her desk, told her I was going to get a drink of water. When I came back by her, she stopped me and said she would go ahead and finish up my paper work. She then called back and told someone I was ready. They came and got me immediately.
Went back to surgery room, sat down in the chair (the very uncomfortable chair) and met the nurse. Alot of other people came in and kept asking me, what I was having done??? I told them this was a corrective surgery, my 2nd surgery. They kept asking, how many grafts (over and over), I told them, I didn't know for sure, that I was told the doctor would decide when he got here. More people came in and took pictures. Alot of people right outside the room, they kept looking in and talking. I felt very uncomfortable.
Finally, Dr. Lorenz came in and checked me out. He decided on 600 grafts. Asked me if that was ok with me. I said that sounds good to me. The procedure began!
I feel like Bosley intentionally tried to make me uncomfortable. I think they tried to make me pay for something they guaranteed would work the first time. I think Bosley is unprofessional and unaccountable. They know hair loss is embarrassing and they try to use your insecurities against you, and try and force you to pay for something, you have already paid for by confusing and embarrasing you!!!
